Stearic Acid
Stearic Acid is a natural saturated fatty acid and is used extensively in skin care, cosmetics and other products. Its purpose is for thickening, emulsifying, and stabilising the formulation of your cosmetic and skin care products.
Derived from vegetable fats, specifically from coconut or Palm. Stearic acid can be used to harden soaps, including those made from vegetable oils.
Typical uses including moisturisers, sunscreens, cosmetics, soap, and baby lotion, and DIY candles.
Usage level: 0.1-1% typically - up to 15% for some applications.
