Benzyl Alcohol

Benzyl Alcohol BP is a clear, colorless liquid, organic alcohol that has mild pleasant aroma. Benzyl alcohol is partially soluble in water (4 g/100 mL) and can be used as a fragrance ingredient, solvent, external analgesic, oral health care drug, or viscosity decreasing agent in personal care products.

Benzyl alcohol is used in cosmetics as a bacteriostatic (prevents the growth of bacteria without destroying it).

It can be used in wide variety of cosmetics and personal care formulations, including baby products, bath products, soaps & detergents, cleansing products, make up products, also hair, nail and skin care products.
