Carbomer 940

Carbomer 940 a cross-linked acrylic acid polymer. It is used as a thickening, stabilising, and suspending agent. 

It is used for a wide range of applications such as cosmetics and toiletries. 

Typical uses of this product are in oil-in - water emulsions as a stabilising polymer, in shampoos and other surfactant systems as a suspending agent and in hand sanitiser as a thickener. 

Upon neutralisation with a base such as triethanolamine it will form a crystal clear gel.
